The beam flanges and web are welded to the column flange (major axis); the column is continuous through the joint. EN 10025-2 (JR/J2).

P207 Section 2 STEP 6A: 80 % rule, stiffened crushing and buckling (20t of web each side), tension stiffener area and welds.

Full strength: sum of the fillet throats ≥ the connected thickness (2a ≥ t). Otherwise the flange welds are checked for the flange force over the effective width.
