Design Parameters

Double notch: the bottom notch lines up with the bottom of the end plate.
0 = no tying requirement.
Unrestrained notched beams need P212 Check 7 (lateral-torsional buckling) in the member design.

Full depth: the plate takes the beam depth, the bolt rows are set from the top of the beam, and the plate is welded to the web and both flanges.

P212 Check 2: pw lwe a.
The end plate is symmetric about the bolt rows. For a coped beam the top of the plate is set at the cope (cope depth = first bolt - end distance) when the plate or bolts change.

ArcelorMittal Orange Book. EN 10025-2 (JR/J2). A supporting beam is taken with its top level with the supported beam.
